i started play guitar since i was 13 years old and now i am 26. about 13 years old already i play guitar. i learn it myself at first, but after 6 years i found that i meet a bottleneck. So i decided to take 3 months guitar course to improve myself. In that 3 months course, i was exposed to variety types of music and skills, and the important one is i learned a lot of music theory. With this music theory, u really can expand your guitar playing skill. what i realized is ur ears is always is ur good teacher. Try to train ur ear, they will lead u to the right path. Do remember is dont always practicce the thing that u know n master, practice the thing that u dont know....

but you learn from 1996, that time if i am not remeber wrong,malaysia internet is not popular yet.Even got internet, i seldom see those guitar lesson video.Isn't you buy book and learn by yourself?can you recommend to meem0001 ?

ya..thats time the internet is not popular yet...that time i just exposed to the band like beyond, mettalica or nirvana. But sometime u can find quite a lot of tablature on the internet as well especially metalica song. the book i used is just a chord book then learn it though listen to the actual song n figure it out how to play. I also refer to the video tape n observe how the guitar player play, sometime my video player spoil because keep pressing pause button. after i know the music theory, i dont even need the chord book to refer to the chorde....i can create it.....
