The bag is red rather than pink.
这个包是红色，而不是粉色。注释：

1. “Rather than”在此表示“而非，并不是”，同“instead of sb/sth”。
当你把两件具有可比性的事物进行对比时，用rather than引出你认为不正确的或是你不愿意做的事情，rather than后面接的单词的词性要与rather前面那个单词保持一致，如在上面的例句中，red和pink同属形容词，表颜色。
2. Rather另外一个常见的词组为“would rather”，表示“更愿意做某事”，而“would rather not”则表示“宁愿不做某事”。
If you say that you would rather do something or you'd rather do it, you mean that you would prefer to do it. If you say that you would rather not do something, you mean that you do not want to do it.
例：If it's all the same to you, I'd rather work at home.
如果对你来说没什么差别，我宁愿在家中工作。

这两天都快成了复读机了！一直在回答LCCI的相关问题。最多的是：LCCI的文凭是哪里的？为什么老板们会喜欢？
LCCI文凭是由伦敦工商会考试局颁发的，而这个机构是世界上最大的职业技能鉴定和证书颁发机构之一。LCCI证书有“职业通行证”之称，是获取工作机会、通往更高层次教育或成为职业领域权威人士的桥梁，在欧洲、香港、新加坡、马来西亚等英联邦国家都享有盛名。中国的劳动部和教育部也与LCCI签署协议，证书在中国通用，终身有效，并可作为进行法律公证的有效条件。
那么为什么会得到雇主的青睐呢？学历代表着资历，并不是工作能力。雇主要的员工是有工作能力的，在实际工作中具有解决问题的实力。
英语和电脑是日常工作的两大必备基础技能，例如在LCCI商务英语写作课程中，学员会学习如何礼貌地回复顾客投诉、向供应商解释催货的缘由等等，训练的题目和考试就是反复练习解决工作中出现的问题，非常接地气。

无论背景，我们一视同仁
注释：
1. Regardless of 在此表示“不管，不顾”。
类似的表达还有：irrespective of，no matter，disregarding，in spite of everything等。
2. Regardless也可以用作副词，表示“无论如何，不顾一切地”。
If you say that someone did something regardless, you mean that they did it even though there were problems or factors that could have stopped them, or perhaps should have stopped them.
尤指在困难或阻碍面前勇往直前。
例：Despite her recent surgery she has been carrying on regardless.
尽管最近做了手术，她还是不顾一切地进行下去。

They'll tear down the museum in this month.
他们将在本月内拆除博物馆。
注释：
1. Tear down在此表示“拆除（将其毁坏或完全移除）”，类似的表达还有“dismantle，take down，pull down”等。
2. 大家可能对tear的名词(眼泪）更为熟悉，其实tear作为动词也很常用，基本意思为“撕裂、拉伤”，过去式为“tore”。

1. Throw away本意表示“扔掉”，在上文中则具象为“浪费，错过”。
类似的表达非常多，比如：discard，toss out，toss away，cast away，put away等。
2.Throw还有很多其他词组，这里举两例供大家参考：
2.1 throw oneself into something：投入，投身（于）
例：She threw herself into a modelling career. 她投身于模特事业。
2.2 someone is thrown into prison：把XX投进（监狱）
例：Those two should have been thrown in jail.
那两个人早就应该抓去坐牢
