Final Fantasy XV to be localized in Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese
Final Fantasy XV will be localized in Latin American and Brazilian Portuguese for the first time in the history of the Final Fantasy series, Square Enix announced.
That means that both Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portugese will be available as text options.
Here’s a message from director Hajime Tabata:
“Thank you to all of our Final Fantasy fans in Latin America and Brazil for always supporting us. Last year I visited Mexico for the first time to promote Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.
“And through the Mexican media I could personally see the passion of the fans in Mexico and neighboring regions.
“From that moment I started thinking about how to compensate for the passionate fans in all of Latin America and Brazil. So this time, we took the opportunity to respond to his enthusiasm for Final Fantasy XV and decided to release a new version of the game with text localization in Spanish Latin American and Brazilian Portuguese.
“We think the story and one of the most important elements of the Final Fantasy games and would like players in Latin America and Brazil to be able to enjoy this story in their own language.
“Right now, we are working on the localization of these two languages along with our localization partners, and are taking care to ensure that this version of Final Fantasy XV is the best possible version of the game. So please look forward to the launch!”
Square Enix has also announced that Final Fantasy XV will feature both French and German voice and text.
Final Fantasy XV is due out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2016.

Final Fantasy XV Uses Umbra 3D Technology to help Framerate Performance
Umbra announced today that Square Enix has licensed Umbra’s technology to heighten graphics performance for the highly anticipated game, Final Fantasy XV.
The fifteenth numbered title in the Final Fantasy franchise is the first game in history to take full advantage of the Luminous Engine, which also has Umbra’s visibility optimization technology integrated into it. Umbra’s technology ensures that only the visible objects in every frame are being processed and rendered, the end result being optimized performance ensuring the best possible graphics and frame-rate.
According to the FFXV development team:
“By using Umbra, frame-rate performance could be improved over two times than before in characteristic scenes. The tool is extremely easy to use with a simple API build that allows paralleling computation to be handled with ease as well,”
The company Umbra, founded in 2006, specializes in boosting graphics performance and has been doing so to more than 100 video games in the past decade. These games include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Batman Arkham Knight and more.
Final Fantasy XV is set for a 2016 worldwide release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Square Enix will be announcing the game’s release and more at Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV, an event to be held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.
The epic adventure of Final Fantasy XV kicks off with an equally momentous occasion in March.
Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV will offer new information on the game as well as key surprises that speak to the full entertainment experience. The event will be at the legendary Shrine Auditorium in Hollywood, California on March 30th, 2016 at 7 PM PDT.

《Final Fantasy XV》最初于 2006 年 5 月以《Final Fantasy Versus XIII》为名正式发表,是《Final Fantasy XIII》关联企画《Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII》系列 3 款作品之一,采不同于本传的动作角色扮演玩法,原本预定由 PS3 独占,但开发超过 7 年迟迟未有下文。
《Final Fantasy XV》前身的《Final Fantasy Versus XIII》
一直到 PS4 预定上市当(2013)年的 E3 展,SQUARE ENIX 才终于宣布《Final Fantasy Versus XIII》将改名为《Final Fantasy XV》并转移到 PS4 / Xbox One 上开发,由《Final Fantasy 零式》的田畑端取代野村哲也担任总监,以本传最新作的形式发展。 之后又经过 3 年的开发,期间不断更新设定与释出情报,如今终于要确定上市日期,替长达 10 年之久的开发历程画下句点。
此外,总监田畑端在年初的台北国际电玩展舞台活动上确认,《Final Fantasy XV》将同步在全球推出在地语言化版本,包括亚洲地区的中文版在内,有兴趣的玩家不妨密切留意本次发表。

根据美国游戏网站 GameSpot 先前不慎提前曝光的新闻短片,透露了 SQUARE ENIX 开发中的 PS4 / Xbox One 角色扮演游戏《Final Fantasy XV》将于 2016 年 9 月 30 日上市的消息。
发表会中已正式确认《Final Fantasy XV》将于 2016 年 9 月 30 日上市!
影片中同时确认《Final Fantasy XV》的特别体验版《卡班库尔物语 Final Fantasy XV》将于今(31)日释出下载,玩家可以操作孩提时代的主角诺克提斯,进入梦境与卡班库尔一同冒险。 玩家只要在游戏上市前下载游玩此一体验版,就可以在正式版游戏中解锁召唤兽卡班库尔使用。

影片的后半则是以悠闲的世界导览片段搭配这次的主题曲「Stand by Me」,是 1961 年由美国灵魂与节奏蓝调歌手班杰明·厄尔·金(Ben E. King)原唱的经典老歌,游戏中采用由英国乐团芙萝伦丝机进份子(Florence and the Machine)重新诠释的版本,非常契合游戏的汽车旅行氛围。
