Nintendo preparing new 3DS titles for “2019 and beyond”

Nintendo is preparing new 3DS titles for release in “2019 and beyond,” company president Tatsumi Kimishima said during the company’s latest financial results briefing.

“We will continue the Nintendo 3DS business by leveraging its installed base and rich software library,” Kimishima said. “We believe it is important to leverage the rich library of Nintendo 3DS series titles to drive sales with existing Nintendo 3DS owners as well as with consumers who recently purchased the Nintendo 3DS hardware, and are investigating strategies for doing so.”

Kimishima continued, “In addition to the titles currently on sale, we have announced the coming release of the titles shown here. We are even preparing new software for release in 2019 and beyond. Our plan is to continue maintaining this business by taking advantage of new titles like these.”

Nintendo’s announced 3DS lineup for 2018 and 2019 includes the following:

August – WarioWare Gold
2018 – Luigi’s Mansion

Nintendo has released an overview trailer for Dillon’s Dead-Heat Breakers.

Here is an overview of the game, via Nintendo:

As a team, defend a post-apocalyptic wild west from an invasion of transforming rock monsters alongside your Amiimal, Dillon the armadillo, and his squirrel engineer, Russ. Recruit hired gunners to back you up in battle, and then roll into fights and high-speed chases and take down waves of enemies

Dillon’s Dead-Heat Breakers is due out for 3DS via the Nintendo eShop on May 24.

《瓦里奥制造豪华版》体验版上架最新游戏介绍视频公开

　　任天堂预定于8月2日发售的3DS新作《瓦里奥制造豪华版》公开了一系列宣传片，包含游戏的开场动画、完整介绍影像。

　　目前游戏的体验版已经上架任天堂eShop。该体验版可以游玩300种小游戏的一部分。

　　任天堂今（20）日宣布，将在日本推出《萨尔达传说》主题的 New Nintendo 2DS LL 主机「New Nintendo 2DS LL HYLIAN SHIELD EDITION」，售价 15980 日圆。这个商品限定在官方在线商城 My Nintendo Store 预约购买，至 9 月 3 日截止，预定在 10 月上旬开始出货。

　　本次推出的特别版本主机，将内建《萨尔达传说时之笛 3D》游戏，外观也是以时之笛版本的「海拉鲁之盾」为灵感设计，让整台主机看起来拥有高强的防御和三角神力的加护。

任天堂家用主机销量超3亿主机及掌机总销量突破7亿大关

　　近日，索尼在官博宣布，目前索尼已经累计在全球售出超过 5 亿台游戏机（包括掌机和家用机）。不过索尼不是唯一公开游戏机销量的厂家，在任天堂财报中也可以看到游戏机产品的销量，其中家用主机销量就超过3亿台，主机加掌机的销量更是超过了7亿台。
