Sakura from Fire Emblem Fates will be a playable character in Fire Emblem Warriors, the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.
The magazine has a preview of the new character, as well as the recently announced Elise, and also has more information about the game’s Fire Emblem-esque systems such as class changes and skills, as well as a “History Mode” that reproduces scenes from the Fire Emblem series.
Fire Emblem Warriors is due out for Switch and New 3DS on September 28 in Japan, and on October 20 in North America and Europe.

Koei Tecmo has updated the official Japanese website for Fire Emblem Warriors with information and screenshots of newly announced playable characters Elise, Sakura, and Corrin (Male), and of the game’s reinforcement systems.

Corrin (Male) (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki)
A young man who was brought up in Nohr while being of Hoshido blood. He has the power of a dragon hidden within him and fights using a sword called “Yato,” as well as possesses the special trait of turning into a dragon to attack. His attack motions and abilities are the same as Corrin (Female) (voiced by Satomi Sato).
Sakura (voiced by Hikiko Kanemoto)
The kind-hearted princess of Hoshido. She was separated from Fire Emblem Fates protagonist Corrin when she was a child. She attacks using a bow and has the ability to recover HP like Elise.
Elise (voiced by Ayaka Suwa)
The youngest of the four Nohrian royal siblings. She has a cheerful and innocent personality that shines brightly upon the gloomy kingdom. She is a Troubadour who fights riding a horse, can heal allies, and uses attack magic.
■ System
Use the materials and items you obtained to strengthen your heroes and weapons.
—Emblems
Use materials to strengthen your heroes. There are various effects depending on the emblems you acquire, including enhanced ability, increased combo count, skill acquisition, and more.
—Forging
Transfer the special characteristics of one weapon to another weapon. Special effects, including specific effects and physical magic reversals, can also be transferred.

Fire Emblem Warriors New 3DS screenshots
The New 3DS version of Fire Emblem Warriors is now available for pre-load in Japan, and has brought with it new screenshots of the dual-screen version.
This is one of the first times we’re seeing the New 3DS version since the game’s initial reveal in January.
On New 3DS, the digital version of Fire Emblem Warriors takes up 16,811 blocks of space (2.05 gigabytes).

Lyn from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade will be playable in Fire Emblem Warriors, Nintendo announced.
It is worth noting that a rumor recently surfaced of a potential full roster leak. The rumor came via Spanish retailer El Corte Ingles, which has what is believed to be an updated version of the limited edition box art, featuring the sprites of all of the game’s previously announced playable characters, the today-announced Lyn, plus Caeda and Tiki from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, Celica from Fire Emblem Echoes, and Anna from Fire Emblem Fates.
