The September 2015-announced Killing Bites game for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita is no longer in development, publisher Fields told Gematsu.
“We have decided to call off the development of the video game Killing Bites,” a Fields representative told Gematsu in an e-mail. “We continued development to improve the quality of the game, such as the multiplayer system, since the announcement in 2015. However, the delay of the launch due to the dissolution of the game development company and our optimization of investment for management led to the suspension of the game.”
While development on Killing Bites has ceased for now, the representative added, “The future plan of game development of Killing Bites remains unsettled.”
Killing Bites was originally scheduled to launch in 2016 before it was delayed to an unannounced release window. A single trailer was released at Tokyo Game Show 2015.

The Good Life reveals Cat and Dog versions
《致命预感》制作人新作《美好生活》将推出猫和狗双版本
The Good Life, the “debt repayment life simulation RPG” from Deadly Premonition creator Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro’s studio White Owls, is planned to be released in both “Cat” and “Dog” versions, the studio announced.
While in The Good Life: Cat, people will become cats at night, in The Good Life: Dog, people—including the protagonist Naomi—will become dogs at night. As a cat, Naomi will be able to climb up to high spots and slip into cramped passages. And as a dog, she’ll be able to dig holes and follow scent trails. You’ll also get to find different items and the way you interact with the townspeople will also change. Some story beats may also differ.
Both versions are compatible with each other for online multiplayer, where you’ll be able to turn into a cat or dog and visit a friend or stranger’s town. In their town, you can scratch posts and leave cricket corpses on your friend’s doorstep as cats, or mark their doors with your urine and scare their sheep as dogs. According to Suehiro, there will be a “bunch of creative ways” to play tricks on each other.
Watch a trailer for The Good Life: Cat and The Good Life: Dog below, as well as an in-development look at multiplayer.

Team17 and Pathea Games bringing 3D sandbox RPG My Time at Portia to consoles and PC in 2018
《波西亚时光》开发主机版 Team 17将全权代理
Team17 has announced a partnership with China-based independent developer Pathea Games to bring its 3D sandbox RPG My Time at Portia—inspired by Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, Dark Cloud 2, and the works of Hayao Miyazaki—to PC via Steam Early Access in early 2018, followed by PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch later in 2018.
Here’s an overview of the game, via Team17:
Setting sail for Portia, a town on the edge of civilization, you’ll arrive to find a workshop left to you by your Pa – a place where you can begin to craft a new life, using the relics from the past to improve life for the villagers in the town.
Gather materials from Portia’s stunning open world: cut down trees, forage for herbs, mine in the ruins and even grow your own garden. There are many unique areas for you to explore including deserts, island, reefs, highlands, marshlands, mines and more! There are even two different types of dungeons including abandoned dungeons filled with important resources such as relics and ores for you to harvest or more hazardous dungeons where you’ll be able to encounter and battle monsters!
The world of Portia will feel alive as the villagers have their own unique behaviours and will go to school, do their jobs, work out, have fun and have their own stories to share with you. You’ll be able to befriend and romance the villagers within Portia.
A Kickstarter campaign for My Time at Portia is currently in its final week. A six-to-eight hour demo of the game is currently available on Steam, Ichi.io, IndieDB, and GameJolt. Team17 will be live streaming the game on Twitch on October 5 at 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET.
