神秘海域创意总监离开顽皮狗

  次世代《神秘海域》于去年PS4首发时公布,但是至今未有任何细节,但是与顽皮狗方面有关的消息倒是传出。日前索尼方面已经正式,《神秘海域》系列的创意总监兼剧本Amy Hennig离开了顽皮狗。



  消息来自“与顽皮狗关系很近的可靠人士”,他最早告诉IGN有关Amy Hennig离开的消息,而索尼方面也证实此事并且发表了声明:“我们可以证实Amy Hennig离开了顽皮狗,Amy对游戏行业有着显著的贡献,我们感谢她为顽皮狗做的一切。《神秘海域》新作开发时间不会因为她的离开而受到影响。”

  IGN方面的消息称Amy Hennig是“被迫离开”的,而主因是《最后生还者》的创意总监兼剧本Neil Druckmann和游戏的导演Bruce Straley,现在他二人已经接手了《神秘海域》系列,索尼方面还没有对这样的传闻发表评论。

Uncharted Writer and Creative Director Amy Hennig Departs Naughty Dog

Uncharted PS4 Writer Amy Hennig Leaves Naughty Dog

Amy Hennig, the creative director and writer on the Uncharted series, has left developer Naughty Dog.

Numerous trusted sources close to Naughty Dog have verified Hennig’s departure from the studio. She was writing and leading development of Uncharted PS4. Her final day at the studio was Monday, March 3.

Sources claim Hennig was “forced out” by The Last of Us’ Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, and explained that Uncharted may now come under their control.

Hennig recently celebrated her 10th anniversary with Naughty Dog, where she served as director and writer on Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves , and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Her work was recently profiled in IGN’s The History of Naughty Dog.

Update: Sony has verified Amy Hennig's departure. A representative told IGN, "We can confirm that Amy Hennig has left Naughty Dog. Amy has made significant contributions to the game industry and we appreciate all she has done for Naughty Dog. The development timeline of Uncharted will not be impacted."

Akiba’s Trip 2 Coming to North America This Summer



   


XSEED Games to Bare All this Summer with Release of Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed

XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, today announced that the company will be releasing the flashy, wild action RPG title, Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed, on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system in summer 2014. Released as Akiba’s Trip 2 in Japan, the all new standalone story in Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed takes players on an eclectic trip through Tokyo’s “Electric Town” electronics district in which they will battle vampire-like foes in over-the-top, highly stylized role-playing action.

In Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed, players work to repel a brooding malevolence that has suffused Tokyo’s popular electronics district, Akihabara (Akiba for short), which has been painstakingly remodeled in the game to resemble its real life counterpart. Akiba has been invaded by creatures known as “Synthisters” who prey on the otaku patrons of Akihabara like vampires, but feast on their will to live and energy to socialize rather than their blood. Only direct exposure to sunlight can destroy the Synthisters, and it’s up to players to ensure that that’s just what they get. If only it weren’t for those pesky clothes protecting them from the sun’s harmful rays…

That’s where players come in. It’s their task to roam this sanctuary of anime and gaming fanatics, identify the outwardly human Synthisters with the help of a handy smartphone app, and then beat and pull at them until they’ve been relieved of their clothes, exposing them to sunlight and sending them to the netherworld. Everyday objects from baseball bats to comic books to motherboards can be used as weapons, and players can take their enemies’ unique clothing for their own personal use as well.

Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed tells the story of a young man named Nanashi who was lured into a trap and transformed into one of the walking undead. Lucky enough to be spared the worst of his fate by the kiss of a mysterious Synthister hunter named Shizuku, Nanashi is sworn to rid Akihabara of the Synthister threat. Together with the rest of his companions in an organization unofficially dubbed the “Akiba Freedom Fighters,” Nanashi and Shizuku must uncover the truth behind the Synthister plague and save Akiba from being overrun by their kind.

Developed in Japan by ACQUIRE and receiving a Gold Award by Famitsu upon its Japanese release, Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed will be released in summer 2014 by XSEED Games in North America on the PlayStation®3 system and PS Vita. XSEED Games will share more information in the coming months.

Sony America CEO Jack Tretton has stepped down

       SCE今日正式宣布SCEA总裁Jack Tretton将在2014年3月31日卸任SCEA主席及总裁的职务,停止合同的决定是由Jack Tretton与SCEA互相协商的结果。目前SNEI执行副总裁兼首席运营官Shawn Layden则将接替任职,4月1日起生效。

       Jack Tretton自1995年便于SCEA任职。作为执行团队的创始成员之一,Jack Tretton在所有PlayStation产品在北美的发售中都身居要职,包括初代PlayStation,PlayStation 2,PlayStation Portable,PlayStation 3,PlayStation Network与PlayStation Vita。最近,Jack Tretton领导了破纪录的PlayStation 4北美发售,在短短24小时内售出100万套并成功在北美与世界的次世代电玩游戏机市场夺魁。在其职业生涯中,他达到过数次业界级的成就,包括北美PlayStation 2销售5000万以及将PlayStation发展到加拿大与拉丁美洲。

Jack Tretton To Step Down As President And CEO Of Sony Computer Entertainment America

Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. today announced that Jack Tretton will step down from his role as President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America as of March 31, 2014. This is a result of a mutual agreement between Mr. Tretton and SCEA not to renew their contractual relationship.

Shawn Layden, currently Executive Vice President and COO of Sony Network Entertainment International, will become President and CEO of SCEA, effective April 1, 2014.

Mr. Tretton has been with SCEA since its inception in 1995. As one of the founding members of the executive team, Tretton played a pivotal role in launching all PlayStation platforms in North America, including the original PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PSP, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Network, and PlayStation Vita. Most recently, Tretton led the record-breaking launch of PlayStation®4 (PS4™), which sold more than one million units in 24 hours in North America and is now the #1 next generation gaming console in North America and worldwide. During his tenure, Tretton was also responsible for achieving several industry milestones, including surpassing 50 million units sold of PlayStation 2 in North America, and aggressively growing the PlayStation business in Canada and Latin America.

"Working at SCEA for the past 19 years has been the most rewarding experience of my career," said Tretton. "Although I will deeply miss the talented team at SCEA and the passion demonstrated every day by our fans, I'm very excited about starting the next chapter of my career. I want to thank the employees, partners and customers for their tireless commitment to the PlayStation brand and, of course, to our fans who have pushed us to new heights of innovation and entertainment over the past two decades. I leave PlayStation in a position of considerable strength and the future will only get brighter for PlayStation Nation."

A 15-year PlayStation veteran, Layden was one of the founding members of SNEI in 2010, joining the company directly from Sony Computer Entertainment, where he most recently held the position of President, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan. His career at Sony Computer Entertainment also included eight years at SCE Worldwide Studios in London where he directed international software development.

"It's an honor and privilege to join Sony Computer Entertainment America and be a part of the team that is leading the next generation of gaming and entertainment," said Layden. "SCEA is committed to delivering breakthrough gaming experiences that inspire fans and exceed their wildest expectations. 顽皮狗澄清 Amy Hennig的离开与最后生还者制作人无关

Naughty Dog Denies Uncharted Writer "Forced Out" by The Last of Us Makers

Earlier this week we had to confirm the regrettable news that Amy Hennig has left Naughty Dog. She will be missed and, as we stated before, we appreciate the significant contributions that she has made to Naughty Dog and the industry in general. We wish her the best.

However, we feel it necessary to clear up a very important point that was unprofessionally misreported when the story broke. Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann were NOT involved in what transpired. It was very upsetting to us that dozens of stories were run, linking back to the same hurtful accusations in the original report. As co-presidents of Naughty Dog, we are responsible for all studio affairs.

Normally, we wouldn't respond to rumors and speculation on matters that are internal to Naughty Dog, but because the personal reputation of two of our employees is being damaged we needed to set the record straight. There is nothing left to be said on this subject. Now we're going back to what we should be focused on – making games.

Today’s the day! TowerFall Ascension is finally launching on PS4. TowerFall is an archery platformer featuring intense local multiplayer battles and a dynamic solo — or co-op — Quest mode. Grab your friends and pack onto your couch for a night of close calls, surprise victories, and hilarious missteps.

The reviews began rolling in a few days ago, and I’m absolutely floored by the response. I’m not usually one to put a lot of stock in those dubious numbers emblazoned in bold at the bottom of articles, but I can’t deny it feels good to see the 9.5′s.

Making TowerFall has been the most rewarding experience of my life. When I put love into the
game, I see it returned to me tenfold by the TowerFall community, and it only appears to be growing.

I also had the privilege of working with some incredibly talented, capable, and pleasant people. I want to thank the entire team by name. Kevin Regamey and Jeff Tangsoc (sound design), Pedro Medeiros (pixel art), Amora Bettany (character design and concept art), Alec Holowka (music), and Kert Gartner (trailers).

I also want to thank Sickhead Games, Nick Suttner, John Sanders, and all of Sony’s Third Party Production and PR teams for their support and genuine enthusiasm for the game. Everyone involved from the core team to Sony and Sickhead loves this game and it shows.

CounterSpy confirmed for PS4, slick new trailer unveiled

Hello friends. Things have been quiet on the home front here at Dynamighty in the last few months. The truth is we’ve been quietly working hard to make CounterSpy as awesome as it can be. In the world of espionage this is known as being Deep Undercover.

Well, all our diabolical plans are finally falling into place and we have some exciting news we wanted to share.

When we partnered with Sony, the PlayStation 4 was but a fantastical dream of uber console heaven somewhere off in the near future. We originally announced that CounterSpy was going to be coming to PlayStation 3, PS Vita, iOS and Android devices.

Since the PlayStation 4 launch, we have had a steady stream of requests from people as to when or if we would be releasing on Sony’s new hardware. We’ve even seen the game listed on websites as a PS4 title, even though nothing official had been said by Sony or us to that effect.

Well we are super excited to be able to ‘declassify’ this information and officially confirm that yes, CounterSpy WILL be launching on PlayStation 4 in summer 2014.

We have been excitedly opening up the hood of our new PlayStation 4 dev kits. I think the extra power of PlayStation 4 is going to open up some really nice possibilities for us. At the same time, we remain super committed to the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita platforms (the game is looking great on both those platforms) as well as mobile.

One of the features that we think you will like with the mobile version, is the ability to link it with the PS4, PS3 or PS Vita version to share progress across all devices. Certain intelligence that you gather gets shared across the devices, so that for example, you can unlock weapons on your console that are then available on your mobile device.

Our friends at Sony have put together this awesome little trailer for you that gives a bit of a peek into the games features. It also includes new gameplay footage. Hopefully you can see the progression since our launch trailer, which for a small game (and team) seems so long ago now!

For those who expressed support and passion for the game since our announce last year (and those finding us for the first time), THANK YOU, and we look forward to sharing more in the weeks ahead.

Aztez is Going to Blow Up Your PS4 and Vita

Hi! I’m Ben Ruiz, the artist and combat designer at Team Colorblind in Arizona. I’m super excited to announced that Aztez, the brutal, bloody, expressive, difficult, and replayable action game I’ve been working on for two years now is coming to Sony’s magnificent, next-gen beast machines. For your own information, Team Colorblind is myself and also Matthew Wegner.

“Brutal, bloody, expressive, difficult, and replayable?!” is probably what you’re thinking as your eyes widen in the dim glow of my audacity. But I sincerely believe that we are cooking up something you will like! At its core, Aztez is two games. One of those games is a full on real-time beat ‘em up combat experience. We’ve piped in the feel and creativity of Bayonetta, the sensationalism and mobility of Capcom’s Alien Vs Predator, and the precision difficulty of classic Devil May Cry. As the combat designer, I’ve been studying these types of games for years, and I refuse to produce and hand you something that won’t dangerously raise your heart rate and dopamine levels. I grew up in the arcade, and I want to do for you what the amazing developers of yore did for me with their coin-ops.

The other game that comprises Aztez is an empire management strategy game, and that’s where the aforementioned replayability comes from. We decided early on that we didn’t want to make another beat ‘em up that forces you through a linear narrative and rote platforming segments, so we’ve created what we feel is an infinitely more interesting vehicle for thrilling combat; a randomized, historical Risk-like. Haha! It might be an overly unusual combination, but the way we see it, it can’t be any worse than grabbing more ledges or pushing around more blocks. And besides, if you do well in our strategy game, you might get to do some pretty profound history rewriting.

But, ultimately, Aztez is about the combat, and we want to make our mark on this generation of Sony consoles with our own signature brand of digital power fantasy, and we want you to be able to do it in your home or on the move. Nothing makes the bus/taxi ride to work better than cutting down a hundred legendary warriors and offering their blood to the gods in real time.

不缺人还是留不住 两业界大神相继离开索尼

  今天早些时候,《声名狼藉:次子》的首席设计师詹姆斯·格林斯梅尔(James Griesemer)证实自己已经离开索尼旗下的[粗俗词语过滤-#0003]er Punch制作公司。

  他在推特上说:“谢谢所有人的关注,我确实已经离开了[粗俗词语过滤-#0003]er Punch制作公司,关于此事,我也不想说太多。”



  几乎同时,国外某媒体确认了《战神3》的制作人斯蒂格·阿斯姆森(Stig Asumussen)离开索尼Santa Monica工作室的消息。

  阿斯姆森之前一直负责Santa Monica的新项目,不过最近公司取消了这个项目,阿斯姆森也失业了。他目前正在面试其它几个游戏工作室的新职位。

  小编对这条新闻的第一感受是,奎托斯和他的制作人长得真像啊,是故意的吗,咳咳。

多款独立游戏现身开发者大会实际演示影像欣赏

  2014年的开发者大会于3月17日至3月21日之间举行,而在此次游戏业界盛会中,许多独立开发商也纷纷露脸并展出了他们的各种有趣独立游戏。现在从会场传来了多段独立游戏的实际游戏影像,其中就包括Metanet的《N++》、FuturLab的《Velocity 2X》和17-Bit的《Galak-Z》这三款新作,下面就请玩家们一起来看看这些有趣作品的实际表现吧。

   


   


   


索尼发布开源游戏开发工具 将支持独立游戏

  索尼今天向广大游戏开发者们发布他们的游戏开发软件“Authoring Tools Framework”(以下简称ATF),只要开发者获得Apache2.0的开源许可,就可以免费下载这款软件。

  由ATF套件构建的开发工具之前帮助索尼完成了很多第一方大作,包括顽皮狗的《最后生还者》的关卡编辑器和《杀戮地带》的场景编辑器。

  索尼方面称,ATF套件自2006年以来被索尼的很多工作室使用,并且一直在发展更新。目前这套工具已经可以面向普通的开发平台,更多的独立游戏开发者可以考虑用它来开发PS平台的游戏。

  SCEA(Sony Computer Entertainment America)工具开发团队的主程序在新闻发布会上说:“我们希望把这款软件推广到索尼之外,让更多独立游戏开发者和大的游戏开发团队也可以使用它。现在ATF变为开源,这样能够吸引更多开发者用这套开发工具来创作游戏。”
