Rayman is Back With Rayman Fiesta Run

Today, at its Digital Days event, Ubisoft proudly announced that legendary platforming hero, Rayman, will be back this fall on smartphones and tablets in a brand new adventure, Rayman Fiesta Run.
Following the success of Rayman Jungle Run, winner of the App Store’s BEST of 2012, Rayman Fiesta Run will introduce players to a new wacky Fiesta world. Gamers will lunge for cocktail umbrellas, leap on limes and punch piñatas in this playful, colorful musical adventure.

《南方公园：真理之杖》发售日确定 新宣传片

　　欧美玩家喜爱的系列剧《南方公园》的游戏版发售日终于被育碧公布了，由育碧发行、黑曜石工作室开发的《南方公园：真理之杖》PS3版确定将于2013年12月10日在北美地区发售，12月13日在欧洲发售。而XBOX360版和PC版的发售日未定。





Ubisoft Announces South Park: The Stick of Truth Release Date

Today, Ubisoft, South Park Digital Studios and Obsidian Entertainment announced South Park: The Stick of Truth, will be available in North America on December 10 and in Europe on December 13 for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. The Windows PC release date will be shared at a later time.

Fans can check out the latest action in South Park: The Stick of Truth by watching the new “Destiny” trailer, released today. In the trailer, the New Kid steps forth and fulfils his…destiny.

In addition, the South Park: The Stick of Truth Grand Wizard Edition, a must-have for any self-respecting South Park fan, will also be available and features a trove of mystical items from the deepest reaches of South Park to aid you in your quest to acquire the Stick of Truth and rid the realm of evil.

Ubisoft announces new Montreal studio expansion, 500 new jobs



Ubisoft Entertanment - Consolidation of Online Infrastructures And Game Operations Activities in Montreal: 500 Additional Jobs For Ubisoft in Quebec

Today, Ubisoft is announcing the concentration of American operations for online games and of infrastructures for its global network in Montreal. In addition, the company will be investing in the expansion of its motion capture technologies expertise. This important technological and operational consolidation represents a total investment of 373 M$ over 7 years, and is expected to generate 500 new jobs in Quebec over the same period. By 2020, Ubisoft should provide employment for more than 3,500 professionals within its Quebec studios.

"The imminent arrival of the next generation of consoles, the expansion of mobile platforms, the multiplication of connected, immersive, and social environments, and the strategic importance of the relationship between developers and players are profoundly transforming the video game industry", Ubisoft Co-Founder and CEO Yves Guillemot indicated. "Today's announcement allows us to anticipate the growth of our future needs with the main objective of strengthening proximity with our players and creating value for them."

"The expertise found at Ubisoft's Quebec studios is at the heart of the group's growth and success for over 16 years. To this established and recognized know-how, we add new needs in terms of infrastructures and online operations, in anticipation of the new experiences players expect" Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto CEO Yannis Mallat adds. "Today, we are demonstrating once more our commitment to creativity, to technological expertise in Quebec, as well as our promise to pursue wealth creation here", Mr. Mallat concluded.

The 500 new jobs cover a wide range of new skills essential to the development, the production, and the operations of a new generation of video games. To the industry's "traditional" trades, new profiles come into play, including community and network management specialists, business intelligence analysts, mathematicians, telemetry experts, systems operators, and monetization and interactive marketing specialists.

This important project is made possible owing to the Quebec Government's vision and support, which has announced a non-refundable 9.9 M$ financial contribution and adjustments to the Tax Credit for Multimedia Titles, giving eligibility to new trades now essential to operating this new generation of experiences.

"We firmly believe in the importance of creative industries for our economy and are pleased to have been supporting Ubisoft since their arrival in Quebec, in 1997. Ubisoft Announces Assassin's Creed Heritage Collection

Today, Ubisoft announced the release of Assassin’s Creed Heritage Collection available exclusively in EMEA territories for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC versions of the game.

Assassin’s Creed Heritage Collection is a high value compilation of the five previous Assassin’s Creed games and will be available in stores from November 8, 2013 in the UK.

• Assassin’s Creed: Draw your blades as Syrian Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad during the Third Crusade.

《孤岛惊魂4》剧本由前红辣椒乐队鼓手来编写

　　根据前红辣椒乐队鼓手电影《亡命驾驶》的编剧 Cliff Martinez表示《孤岛惊魂4》正在开发中，他正在为此游戏编写剧本。

Composer Cliff Martinez has revealed the existence of Far Cry 4, it would appear.

Martinez specifically referenced the title in an interview with Lost in the Multiplex. While discussing projects he’s involved with, Martinez said outright that he’s “working on a video game called Far Cry 4.”

His comments in full:

“There’s a secret mission that I’m not completely on yet, it looks like I’ll also be doing a Soderbergh TV series called The Knick, and I’m working on a video game called Far Cry 4. So yeah, I’m popular all this week.”

Ubisoft has previously confirmed its intentions to develop and ship a new Far Cry game following the huge success of Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. However, it has yet to be confirmed whether the new title is Far Cry 4.

刺客信条4游戏总监希望看到新作设定在古埃及

《刺客信条4：黑旗》总监Ashraf Ismail表示希望看到能有《刺客信条》新作以古埃及为背景设定，虽然他表示目前此想法还没有确定。

“我不是说我们就得去那个地方，但是有朝一日我希望能够在游戏设定中探索到埃及。古埃及真的是个非常有趣的地方。”Ismail表示，“我们也有非常酷的理由来解释为什么我们要这么设定，可以说通过Animus设备可以使我们前往历史上任何一个时期。”

Ismail表示人们曾被《刺客信条4：黑旗》的设定所震惊，因为该作与前作《刺客信条3》的设定美国革命时期相比，时间上反而是倒退了。

“这并不是一成不变的规定——我们没有必要非得让设定越来越接近现代，我们反而对玩家的一些言论感到吃惊，‘你们怎么可以逆历史时间而行，这怎么可以呢？’等等，实际上是我们拥有了Animus设备。”Ismail表示，“当然再次重申，我并没有说埃及就是下一作所发生的地点，只是说我想让下一作在那里发展。”



Assassin’s Creed IV director would like to see Egypt as a setting in a future entry

Ismail stated:

“The President of the company has said that we will ship an annual title, so it’s out there. We’ve been on this game for almost two years; it’ll be two and a half when we ship. I would say one of the best things we have going for us is how we can play with history.
“History is something that is rooted in all of us; we all have a deeper connection to it. So there’s a lot of interesting periods and time places we haven’t been to that I would to see.

“I’m not saying we are going there, but one day I would love to explore Egypt as a setting for this game. Ancient Egypt could be a really cool place. We have a really cool explanation for how we can do this, and it is with this Animus device that allows us to go to anytime in history.

“People are really surprised with where we took Assassin’s Creed 4 because it was back in time from Connor’s time. But we’ve never outright said that we are always moving forward. It just happened to be that way because we went from Altair to Ezio, then Ezio to Connor and there was a lot of hype about the American Revolution.

“However, it was never a set rule that we always get closer to the present day. We were a bit surprised by people who saying, ‘how do you go back in time, how’s that possible?’ It’s that Animus device we have. But again, I’m not saying Egypt is where the next one is going, it’s just where I would like it to go.”

育碧解释为什么要为旗下《看门狗》创造新引擎

他说：“我们在开始开发这个项目的同时制作了Disrupt引擎。我们当时就知道要想达到我们想要的效果，我们必须设计制作新引擎。现代城市的密度，大量的细节，让玩家能以150英里的速度穿越城市的同时还保持这些细节，还有我们想给玩家一个身临其境的逼真体验，这些都是主要的原因。但是更多的，我们想创造一个动感的，能够同玩家的行动相辉映的游戏世界。我们的游戏设计不能简单的使用一个固定的世界。在游戏中，玩家有制定自己的计划和行为的自由，而游戏世界需要对这些计划和行为作出回应。这就要求我们去提高游戏引擎各个领域的互动，比如物理，图像，动画，AI等方面。”

这些动态和互动的言论都非常让人心动。但是为什么没选择其他比如CryEngine和虚幻4引擎呢？Dominic解释说，因为那些引擎都是为了特定内容设计的，所以没办法满足育碧对于《看门狗》的需求。

“对于第三方引擎技术方面，据我们所知还没有一个能完全满足我们要求的引擎。这些引擎都是为了特定内容设计的，一般都是用来在‘关卡’中切换的，而不是为了一个没有存档和切换点的开放世界设计的。他们在对待联网方面也使用了比较传统的方法，玩家需要使用菜单和大厅，单人模式和多人模式是分开的。同时，拥有自己的技术也非常重要。这让开发者更加的发挥自如，也能刺激他们全面的创新。自制引擎确保了开发者对引擎有全面的认识，这样就让制作团队可以适应和拓展引擎来满足所有的需要。”

育碧：《刺客信条》系列英国销量超过660万

     育碧表示，《刺客信条》系列在英国的销量已经超过了660万份。

     Ubisoft UK的品牌经理Omebline Wallon这样告诉外媒MCV：

     “《刺客信条》系列迄今为止已经在英国卖出了超过了660万份，而且在过去的几年中这个系列也确定了在玩家心中的地位。自从我们在三月份的时候公布了《刺客信条4：黑旗》以来，我们一直在不遗余力地宣传这款游戏。现在临近发售，我们更会加大宣传力度。”

     Wallon表示，玩家对该系列的下一作即《刺客信条4：黑旗》的期望很高。

     “玩家对该作的期望很高，特别是得知该作将登陆PS4和Xbox One。玩家很想知道次世代主机将会带来怎样不同的游戏体验。”



Assassin’s Creed series surpasses 6.6 million units in the UK

Assassin’s Creed series sales have surpassed 6.6 million units in the UK, Ubisoft has said.

The publisher shared the news with MCV. Ubisoft UK brand manager Omebline Wallon told the site:



Wallon says anticipation for Assassin Creed’s next entry, Black Flag, is “high”.

Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD Coming to PS3 in January 14
《刺客信条：解放HD》将于2014年1月登陆PSN

　　此前育碧已经确认将会在PS3平台推出PSV游戏《刺客信条3：解放》的高清版，而日前官方正式公布了《刺客信条3：解放HD》的发售日，确认本作将于2013年1月15日登陆PSN，其售价则为19.99美元。

　　本作的开发团队表示他们在PSV版的基础上继续进行改善，而且“改进游戏方式以及任务是他们所能做的最有趣和愉快的事情。”

　　游戏中还加入了一些新任务，不过一些涉及到触屏功能的任务则被删除。此外原作中的任务也都经过了重制，现在玩家们能够更好的进行挑战，进一步体验游戏的乐趣。



Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD Coming January 14th to PlayStation Store

Greetings, PlayStation Assassins! We’re very excited to announce that Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD will be coming to PS3 via PlayStation Store on January 14th.

When we set out to do Liberation HD, our objective was simple: improve upon what worked on the Vita and adapt the gameplay and missions to be the most fun and enjoyable they could be. As a result, each mission has been reworked in order to improve its pacing, and the challenge it poses to the player.

Liberation is set in New Orleans between 1765 and 1780, in the period between the end of the French and Indian War, up to the middle of the American Revolution. Liberation tells the story of Aveline; a female Assassin of mixed French and African heritage. Brought up in a world of privilege and contrasts, Aveline becomes a strong-willed woman and an avid opponent of slavery.

Recruited to the Assassins by an escaped slave, Aveline joins the struggle against the Templars as they try to take control of New Orleans following France’s handover of the city to Spain. Striking hard and fast, she is instrumental in the Louisiana Rebellion that forces the Spanish and Templars out of the city for nearly two years before they return in force.

In addition to the HD upgrade, we also have new missions specific to Aveline’s Personas. Aveline is the first Assassin with such clearly different character types - Assassin, Lady, and Servant. Each persona has its own advantages and disadvantages when playing missions, and each generates a different reaction from the city life around Aveline. That’s a total of 15 missions delving deeper into Aveline’s story.
