Today, during the company’s Digital Days event, Ubisoft announced the development of Tom Clancy’s EndWar Online for browser-based gameplay on PC and Mac. Developed by Ubisoft Shanghai, the team behind the console version of Tom Clancy’s EndWar, Tom Clancy’s EndWar Online is a tactical and strategic MMO that offers real time battles, HQ and army management, and massive community-based wars, all set in next stage browser technology to deliver an unrivalled gameplay experience. As the latest game in the Tom Clancy’s EndWar world, Tom Clancy’s EndWar Online puts players in the shoes of the last leader in the aftermath of WW3. Resources and money have run dry, factions are on the brink of collapse and rogue warlords have taken over. As one of the last leaders, players are tasked with rebuilding their homeland, reuniting their faction and spearheading the final battle for Earth’s remaining resources. Players choose a side, the high-tech European Enforcers or Russia’s Spetsnaz who deploy brute force tactics, to lead into battle. Offering both single player and player vs. player challenges, Tom Clancy’s EndWar Online brings diverse gameplay options and deep strategy to gamers.

《南方公园：真理之杖》发售日确定 新宣传片

　　欧美玩家喜爱的系列剧《南方公园》的游戏版发售日终于被育碧公布了，由育碧发行、黑曜石工作室开发的《南方公园：真理之杖》PS3版确定将于2013年12月10日在北美地区发售，12月13日在欧洲发售。而XBOX360版和PC版的发售日未定。





Ubisoft Announces South Park: The Stick of Truth Release Date

Today, Ubisoft, South Park Digital Studios and Obsidian Entertainment announced South Park: The Stick of Truth, will be available in North America on December 10 and in Europe on December 13 for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. The Windows PC release date will be shared at a later time.

Fans can check out the latest action in South Park: The Stick of Truth by watching the new “Destiny” trailer, released today. In the trailer, the New Kid steps forth and fulfils his…destiny.

Ubisoft announces new Montreal studio expansion, 500 new jobs



Ubisoft Entertanment - Consolidation of Online Infrastructures And Game Operations Activities in Montreal: 500 Additional Jobs For Ubisoft in Quebec

Today, Ubisoft is announcing the concentration of American operations for online games and of infrastructures for its global network in Montreal. In addition, the company will be investing in the expansion of its motion capture technologies expertise. This important technological and operational consolidation represents a total investment of 373 M$ over 7 years, and is expected to generate 500 new jobs in Quebec over the same period. By 2020, Ubisoft should provide employment for more than 3,500 professionals within its Quebec studios.

"The imminent arrival of the next generation of consoles, the expansion of mobile platforms, the multiplication of connected, immersive, and social environments, and the strategic importance of the relationship between developers and players are profoundly transforming the video game industry", Ubisoft Co-Founder and CEO Yves Guillemot indicated. "Today's announcement allows us to anticipate the growth of our future needs with the main objective of strengthening proximity with our players and creating value for them."

"The expertise found at Ubisoft's Quebec studios is at the heart of the group's growth and success for over 16 years. To this established and recognized know-how, we add new needs in terms of infrastructures and online operations, in anticipation of the new experiences players expect" Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto CEO Yannis Mallat adds. "Today, we are demonstrating once more our commitment to creativity, to technological expertise in Quebec, as well as our promise to pursue wealth creation here", Mr. Mallat concluded.

The 500 new jobs cover a wide range of new skills essential to the development, the production, and the operations of a new generation of video games. To the industry's "traditional" trades, new profiles come into play, including community and network management specialists, business intelligence analysts, mathematicians, telemetry experts, systems operators, and monetization and interactive marketing specialists.

This important project is made possible owing to the Quebec Government's vision and support, which has announced a non-refundable 9.9 M$ financial contribution and adjustments to the Tax Credit for Multimedia Titles, giving eligibility to new trades now essential to operating this new generation of experiences.

Ubisoft Announces Assassin's Creed Heritage Collection

Today, Ubisoft announced the release of Assassin’s Creed Heritage Collection available exclusively in EMEA territories for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC versions of the game.

Assassin’s Creed Heritage Collection is a high value compilation of the five previous Assassin’s Creed games and will be available in stores from November 8, 2013 in the UK.

《孤岛惊魂4》剧本由前红辣椒乐队鼓手来编写

Composer Cliff Martinez has revealed the existence of Far Cry 4, it would appear.

Martinez specifically referenced the title in an interview with Lost in the Multiplex. While discussing projects he’s involved with, Martinez said outright that he’s “working on a video game called Far Cry 4.”

His comments in full:

“There’s a secret mission that I’m not completely on yet, it looks like I’ll also be doing a Soderbergh TV series called The Knick, and I’m working on a video game called Far Cry 4. So yeah, I’m popular all this week.”

Ubisoft has previously confirmed its intentions to develop and ship a new Far Cry game following the huge success of Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. However, it has yet to be confirmed whether the new title is Far Cry 4.

刺客信条4游戏总监希望看到新作设定在古埃及

《刺客信条4：黑旗》总监Ashraf Ismail表示希望看到能有《刺客信条》新作以古埃及为背景设定，虽然他表示目前此想法还没有确定。

“我不是说我们就得去那个地方，但是有朝一日我希望能够在游戏设定中探索到埃及。古埃及真的是个非常有趣的地方。”Ismail表示，“我们也有非常酷的理由来解释为什么我们要这么设定，可以说通过Animus设备可以使我们前往历史上任何一个时期。”

Ismail表示人们曾被《刺客信条4：黑旗》的设定所震惊，因为该作与前作《刺客信条3》的设定美国革命时期相比，时间上反而是倒退了。

“这并不是一成不变的规定——我们没有必要非得让设定越来越接近现代，我们反而对玩家的一些言论感到吃惊，‘你们怎么可以逆历史时间而行，这怎么可以呢？’等等，实际上是我们拥有了Animus设备。”Ismail表示，“当然再次重申，我并没有说埃及就是下一作所发生的地点，只是说我想让下一作在那里发展。”



Assassin’s Creed IV director would like to see Egypt as a setting in a future entry

Ismail stated:

“The President of the company has said that we will ship an annual title, so it’s out there. We’ve been on this game for almost two years; it’ll be two and a half when we ship. I would say one of the best things we have going for us is how we can play with history.
“History is something that is rooted in all of us; we all have a deeper connection to it. So there’s a lot of interesting periods and time places we haven’t been to that I would to see.

“I’m not saying we are going there, but one day I would love to explore Egypt as a setting for this game. Ancient Egypt could be a really cool place. We have a really cool explanation for how we can do this, and it is with this Animus device that allows us to go to anytime in history.

“People are really surprised with where we took Assassin’s Creed 4 because it was back in time from Connor’s time. But we’ve never outright said that we are always moving forward. It just happened to be that way because we went from Altair to Ezio, then Ezio to Connor and there was a lot of hype about the American Revolution.

“However, it was never a set rule that we always get closer to the present day. We were a bit surprised by people who saying, ‘how do you go back in time, how’s that possible?’ It’s that Animus device we have. But again, I’m not saying Egypt is where the next one is going, it’s just where I would like it to go.”

育碧解释为什么要为旗下《看门狗》创造新引擎

“对于第三方引擎技术方面，据我们所知还没有一个能完全满足我们要求的引擎。这些引擎都是为了特定内容设计的，一般都是用来在‘关卡’中切换的，而不是为了一个没有存档和切换点的开放世界设计的。他们在对待联网方面也使用了比较传统的方法，玩家需要使用菜单和大厅，单人模式和多人模式是分开的。同时，拥有自己的技术也非常重要。这让开发者更加的发挥自如，也能刺激他们全面的创新。自制引擎确保了开发者对引擎有全面的认识，这样就让制作团队可以适应和拓展引擎来满足所有的需要。”
