As the title stated above, is it good to study in Malaysia or it is as good as to study oversea???

i chose to study overseas because the government-funded universities don't accept UEC... other than that, i don't like private colleges in Malaysia.

other reasons such as i was so eager to leave Malaysia is also why i study overseas...

i am studying in Singapore at the moment... Singapore is not very far from Malaysia so i can meet my family as and when i want... i was offered a place to study in Australia but due to financial constraint i wasn't able to study there...

Well,I'm an open-minded person and I‘d prefer the anglo environment.
What's more,I've made up my mind to go there for pursuing an education.

there's so many aspects to consider before you can conclude if it's good or bad.
aid from family financially, independence, language skills...

You have to ponder, between Malaysia and Singapore, which place can provide you the best or

more appropriate study environment.
Considering on the issue of adaptability, I have chosen to stay in Malaysia.
Private university.
You have the chance to choose, so make the best choice out of it!

Well, most people still prefer to go to oversea for studies. Its still would be better than in malaysia for some reason.

i would prefer oversea if my financial status allowed me...
especially to western country...
its better to learn in english speaking country as english is the international language and thats the easiet way to practise a perfect english..
if you able to speak fluent english in malaysia, many people will treat u like a God..

I'm currently studying aboard (or return to my own country xD) in New Zealand, alone. Well, might as well say that I am actually a New Zealand born citizen (pure chinese) who lived in Malaysia for the past 14 years. And because of that, I am luckily to be categorized as NZ domestic student and thus my university fees are way cheaper than international student.
Truly speaking, Malaysia is a good country. I prefer the environment and lifestyle in Malaysia more than New Zealand. But I'm totally dissatisfied with the contributions of the existing government. They talk craps more than actions. They do not contribute rights equally among races, it's clearly showed when they try to help the Bumiputra for scholarships and loans. In New Zealand, yes the government still bias on the islanders but apparently, Kiwis are still given an equally chance to apply for financial helps. I'm totally disappointed with Malaysia. Why can’t they just learn from the others?

Yuhua is actually located in Selangor state, so apparently I'm selangor/KL kia, not Johor =)

And hor, my parents are both pure malaysian chinese xD
They used to live in NZ, so I was born as a NZ citizen xD
new zealand shit la, boring max, most of the shops close after 6pm, only pubs,clubs or restaurants are still on business....
lame max, wish to go bac to Malaysia T.T

Yea love night life. I went to clubbing once (last 2 weeks), over here.
My first time leh, so fun !
But hor, I don't like New Zealand.
NZ x suits me, i prefer malaysia/singapore more

in Malaysia, the exam is testing us the memory, so if u have good memory, u can score high marks.
Oversea, it is testing your skill, it is nth to do with wat u learn in the text book.

so, i prefer Malaysia exam style, i can score, but if oversea, i sure fail every subject..
hw can a ppl who face long life "tested memory" exam suitable to take oversea exam?

so study in Malaysia good also but can't improve~

If choose to study in Malaysian can apply the PTPTN for the students who is having financial problem.
If choose to study in Singapore, unless you got no problem in financial. Or your results is good government will pay the fees for you.
Now i'm having financial problem, and i don't know whether which course should i take.

It depends on what college/university did you choose.
But I think oversea will be a better choice if you can afford the fees. Malaysians are too depend on Bahasa Melayu, it makes us lose a good english-speaking environment.

Despite financial problem , you have to ask yourself a few question :
1. *Most important* which course are you studying?
2. Accepted by which universities and country
3. What benefit will you get? (not including satisfaction)
4. What is the difference between the certificates? (some study local can get overseas certificate too)
5. Is the overseas experience really so important? (spend 100k/year for abroad exp) - UK/USA
6. How much does it helps after you graduate?
7. If you want a better English environment, talk English with your friends or most colleges usually speaks English. (despite public universities) Since considering overseas or local, he/she sure can afford to go local colleges.

Weighing up the cost and benefit clearly before making a decision. Everyone may turns up to have different answers.

For me, I'm planning to stay in local if I'm not accepted by the university that I aimed. Please remember that the universities or colleges that you are going to study must *at least* have some ranking. Otherwise, it will be wasting your money since the prices are almost the same.
