Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Spike Chunsoft announced Jump Force, an Unreal Engine 4-powered fighting action game being developed to commemorate Weekly Jump’s 50th anniversary, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC during Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference. It will launch in 2019.

Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach is playable in Jump Force, the latest issue of Weekly Jump reveals.
Rukia Kuchiki and Sosuke Aizen will also appear, though whether or not they are playable has not been confirmed.
The magazine also confirms Hong Kong as a new stage. However, there appears to be a Blackbeard Pirates ship from One Piece in the middle of the city.

Bandai Namco has confirmed that Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, and Sosuke Aizen from Bleach will be playable in Jump Force, and has released the first screenshots of the characters.
Here is an overview of the characters, as well as the new Hong Kong stage, via Bandai Namco:
Bleach follows the exploits of fiery teenager Ichigo Kurosaki who inherits the powers of a Shinigami (soul reaper), which sees him take on the duty of defending humans from evil spirits and travel to ghostly realms to protect them. Joining the roster of Jump Force, which sees the greatest heroes and villains from the 50-year history of Shueisha’s influential Japanese Weekly Shonen Jump manga do battle, are three iconic names from Bleach:
• Ichigo Kurosaki – Once a simple high school student with the ability to see ghosts, Ichigo became one of the strongest ever Shinigami (soul reapers) after his encounter with a Hollow (a spectral being) that tried to kill him.
• Rukia Kuchiki – Rukia is a soul reaper from a noble family who specializes in Kido (the magic of the soul reapers). Her ice-type blade is considered to be among the most beautiful swords of the Souls Society.
• Sosuke Aizen – A captain of the Gotei 13, Aizen is a mysterious man. While calm on the surface, behind this serene appearance is perhaps one of the most skilled members of the Soul Society.
Also revealed today is the new Hong Kong stage, one of Jump Force’s many real-world locations. Set at street-level, manga characters will be illuminated by neon lanterns and the dazzling lights of a rain-soaked city as they battle in the shadow of Blackbeard’s mysteriously crashed ship.

Bandai Namco released a new trailer, information, and screenshots for Jump Force at Gamescom 2018.
Joining the roster of Jump Force – which sees the greatest heroes and villains from the 50-year history of Shueisha’s influential Japanese Weekly Shonen Jump magazine do battle – are six iconic names from Hunter X Hunter, One Piece, and Dragon Ball Z.
Online Experience
In Jump Force’s online setting, players will be able to create their own customized avatar and interact with players from around the world.
Based in a huge lobby composed of four distinct places – the worlds of One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, and the real world – players will be able to tailor their own avatar to create an ultimate fighter, before fighting against others online.
Further information about the avatar customization will be revealed soon.
New Characters
Bandai Namco Entertainment have also announced six new characters joining the roster, Gon and Hisoka from Hunter X Hunter, Sanji, Sabo and Blackbeard from One Piece, and the infamous Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z.
Gon is a young boy with a pure heart. He’ll put his friends first above all and will face up to any opponent if for the greater good. Hisoka is his opposite. Underneath his jovial exterior lies a sociopathic fighter that finds pleasure only in killing.
Sanji is the cook of One Piece’s Straw Hat Crew, but don’t let this deceive you. For Sanji is one of the strongest fighters, willing to face anyone to protect his comrades. Sabo is like a brother to Luffy, fighting alongside him in battle. He has total control over fire and can use this immense skill in battle. Blackbeard is one of the fiercest and most despicable characters of One Piece. He is the only known user of two different Devil Fruits, allowing him to create earthquakes and manipulate the darkness itself..
And no game featuring Dragon Ball Z characters would be complete without Vegeta. Once a mortal enemy of Goku, he now fights alongside him to protect earth.
New Stage
Also revealed today is the Namek stage. From the Dragon Ball Z universe, Namek is the planet where the infamous battle against Frieza took place. Namek has three suns, so is in a state of permanent daylight. In Jump Force, the planet Namek also features the mysterious appearance of a certain green statue…

Joining the roster of Jump Force is Yugi Muto, the hero of Yu-Gi-Oh! Jump Force brings together the greatest heroes and villains from over the 50-year history of Shueisha’s influential Japanese manga Weekly Shonen Jump to fight for the fate of their world and ours.
Yu-Gi-Oh!’s story takes place in a world where a card game: Duel Monsters, is one of the largest aspects of everyday life. The game can bring fortune and fame to its champions, or demise to those less fortunate.
The main protagonist, Yugi Muto, is a lonely boy who loves playing the game but was never blessed with talent. After finding and solving the Millennium Puzzle, an ancient and powerful artefact, Yugi unknowingly became host to Dark Yugi, the spirit of the long deceased Pharaoh Atem. The Pharaoh’s spirit possess and takes control of Yugi in times of danger, he is able to become one of the greatest Duel Monsters players in the world.

Bandai Namco’s tweet confirms that Super Saiyan Blue Goku is not a separate character from base Goku. It reads, “Goku will be able to unleash the power of the Super Saiyan Blue in Jump Force! Can you guess how to activate it?”

Jump Force will launch worldwide for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in February 2019, and Yusuke Urameshi and Toguro from Yu Yu Hakusho will be playable characters, Bandai Namco announced.
Pre-orders will include a new lobby vehicle and three exclusive costumes.
In the Americas and Europe, a Collector’s Edition including the following bonuses will be available:

Killua is the third son of the Zoldyck family – the most infamous and deadly assassins of the world. He was expected to join them, but chased his own fate by running away from home to become a Hunter.

Kurapika also had a difficult family history – as the last survivor of his clan. They are both very strong fighters that value their friends and they will do anything to protect them!
Himeji Castle, one of the most famous sites in Japan, will also be a playable stage.
Bandai Namco also revealed four game-original characters designed by Akira Toriyama that are part of the game’s story.

Finally, after announcing a PlayStation 4 closed beta for Japan earlier this week, Bandai Namco announced that a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One closed beta will run in the Americas and Europe at the same time, from October 12 to 14. In Europe, spaces are limited and only open to members of the EP!C Rewards Club, and registration will close on October 7 at 11:00PM BST.

Knights of the Zodiac, Seiya and Shiryu, join the Jump Force roster
Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has revealed the addition of Saint Seiya characters - Pegasus Seiya and Dragon Shiryu - to the cast of Jump Force.
Appearing in iconic manga series Saint Seiya, Seiya and Shiryu are members of the Knights of the Zodiac, a group of handpicked warriors that have pledged to protect justice and peace across the world.
Pegasus Seiya is the Saint of the Pegasus constellation – famous for his unbending resolve and unbreakable mind. When in dire need, Seiya can call upon the power of the Gold Cloth of Sagittarius, increasing his strength to its ultimate limit.
The second playable character from Saint Seiya is Dragon Shiryu. Protected by the Dragon constellation, he is one of the calmest and most composed of all Saints. He is also one of the few Bronze Saints deemed worthy enough to wear the Gold Cloth. When needed, he can summon great strength from the Libra Cloth using its many weapons to defeat his foes.
Also revealed today is the Mayan City stage, where Jump Force fighters will do battle across ancient ruins of the Central American civilization.
